Allowing Your Skin To Be The Best Version Of Itself

What is the best version of your skin? Are you caring for your skin as much as you should be? Keeping up with a daily skincare routine can get pretty tough! Your skins wellness can be reflected by a numerous amount of things like your diet, exercise, etc. As a college student, I find that I have very little time for myself and my wellness. I'm on campus for most of my day so finding time to eat something healthy is pretty difficult. I'm either rushing to my next Landscape Architecture lecture or running late to work.

When I'm home I usually tend to eat more than I should because well home isn't very exciting! Also, sometimes I get too lazy to wash my face after a late night study session, so I just go to bed. Don't do that. I generally like to sit down and tell myself that I do need "me" time, and that I deserve it. We all do! Putting time, effort, and money into your skin actually pays off. Taking 5-10 minutes every night to wash your face, moisturize, or even mask can make a huge difference with the quality of your skin. Spend those extra $20 on that moisturizer, TREAT YO' SELF, and do some research before you buy. Read about certain ingredients and how they're either good or bad for your skin. Like salicylic acid, don't use any products with that.

Don't expect products to instantly leave your skin glowing either. If that's your mindset going into a new skincare routine then good luck! LOL, JK—no but in all seriousness go into a new skincare routine with an open mind and know what you're putting on your face. Don't just buy a new beauty product because your favorite beauty guru on YouTube said it was great. We all have different skin types and some products may not work on you the way they worked on someone else! Doesn't hurt to try them though!

Make it your goal in 2017 to get your skin to be its absolute best version of itself! Good luck to all! <3
